Description

Making Connections South Tipperary is a Local Training Initiative based in Clonmel. We are funded by Tipperary ETB and managed by WSTCYS.

We deliver certified training in ‘Employability Skills’ to adults (aged 18+) who have experienced substance/alcohol misuse and/or homelessness.

We offer a choice of 12 modules that are certified at QQI Level 3 in:

 

  1.  Computer Literacy
  2.   Personal Effectiveness
  3. Communications
  4. Personal and Interpersonal Skills
  5. Self Advocacy
  6.   Health and Fitness
  7. Career Preparation
  8. Culinary Operations (Cooking)
  9. Application of Number (Maths)
  10. Word Processing
  11. Library Research
  12. Art and Design

 

We are a learner centred, flexible, part-time programme. We provide a pathway for unemployed people seeking to return to education and to progress to Further Education courses and/or employment.We offer a safe learning environment where classes can be on a 1:1 basis or within small groups. We also offer an Outreach programme every Thursday in Carrick On Suir.

No previous formal qualifications are required to access the programme.

Learners are referred to the programme by relevant agencies, but self-referrals are also welcome.

The programme is open Monday to Thursday from 9.30am to 5.00pm. The Programme is closed on Fridays.
