Description
The Ballybeg Special Youth Project is based in the Ballybeg Youth Resource Centre, situated between Clonard Park and Ardmore Park. The project is well established, and recognised as a safe and welcoming place for young people to spend time, make new friends, and have fun. The project is interested in supporting young people to learn and grow, and to get the skills that will help them be effective and powerful in their own lives. Members have access to lots of opportunities to try new things, and find out what their strengths and abilities are.
The project provides programmes and activities until 10pm most nights with occasional weekend activities, and daytime activities during school holidays. We are open to new ideas, and happy to do what we can to assist with any constructive plan. We work with young people from Ballybeg age 10 to 21 years. Non-members are also welcome to access any practical supports we have, including photocopying, CV’s or cover letters for training or employment applications. The staff are also part of a larger area team working closely with the Axis Community Youth Project (weekends) and the BALL Project (Youth Justice).
