Description

Cahir Community Youth Project was one of five sample projects established under the new Targeted Youth Funding Stream in 2016. The Project is funded from the Department of Children and Youth Affairs with Funding streamed though Tipperary Education and Training Board.

The project is a targeted Youth Project working in partnership with young people aged 10-24 years. The project opens afternoons, late evenings and weekends with a focus on achieving outcomes in the seven proximal outcomes outlined by DCYA.

Cahir Community Youth Project is a fun and positive place to be, whether it’s to come to be with friends or to make new friends, the young people can join in, in worthwhile & meaningful activities & programmes.  The young people in the project will grow & develop & learn personal & social skills. The project is young person centred & led.

We are dedicated to the development of safe, affordable and worthwhile activities and facilities that can be accessed by young people locally.

We seek to support Communities to address issues expressed by young people in the current environment. Community involvement is a core element in the development of relevant and appropriate programmes for young people
