Description
The Manor Street Community Youth Project is a seven-day service, providing groups and Programmes in partnership with young people aged 10 – 24 years living in the inner city of Waterford and the wider community. Our groups range from age specific core groups, where young people meet weekly for planned activities based on their needs and interests, to special interest and targeted work which includes our LGBTQ+ CHILLout groups, the Manor Street Music group, Waterford Youth Bank and our Gaming Community. The project also provides drop in opportunities for young people to come and socialise through our Saturday café and through three cafe and games room drop in groups for ages 10-12’s, 13-15’s, and 16’s plus which are worked in collaboration with the Inner City Community Youth Project. This is a nice way to see the centre and get to meet some of the staff and young people before joining in with a group or programme.
Manor Street Community Youth Project is supported by community based volunteers with a shared positive regard for young people who do a fantastic job of supporting young people and sharing the journey with them in their groups.
Anyone looking to get involved can drop into our office located on the bottom floor or contact us via text or phone call. More information on times etc. can is available from our flyer and on the centre door or by from one of our friendly staff.
