Description

The Pact Project catchment area covers Waterford Inner City and the Ferrybank area. We work with young people between the ages of 12 and 18 who are at risk of or are involved in offending behaviour.

Our main source of referral is the Garda Juvenile Liaison Officer (JLO), but it is also possible for families, schools, social workers or other agencies to make a referral. All referrals are reviewed by the Referral Assessment Committee. If you would like to make a referral, please contact the PACT Project directly.

The PACT Youth Diversion Projects serve young people who are at risk of getting into trouble with the law. The project is designed to help young people develop their sense of community and their social skills through different activities. Young People are offered opportunities in education, employment training, sport, art and music.

The PACT Project promotes good relations between An Garda Siochana and the local community and more importantly help young people to redefine themselves and their life goals in a positive way that directs them away from anti-social behaviour and towards positive life choices.
