Making Connections South Tipperary Awards Ceremony

On Tuesday, 18th February 2025, Making Connections South Tipperary hosted its annual Awards Ceremony, celebrating the achievements of its dedicated participants. The event brought together referral agencies, students, and their families, fostering a sense of community and accomplishment.

Making Connections South Tipperary, based in Clonmel, is a Local Training Initiative funded by the Tipperary Education and Training Board (ETB) and managed by Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Service (WSTCYS). The program offers adults facing challenges such as substance misuse, homelessness, and related mental health issues an opportunity to re-engage with education. Participants receive tailored support, working in small groups or one-on-one settings, to achieve qualifications in Employability Skills.

The recent Awards Ceremony underscored the program’s ongoing success in empowering individuals to overcome personal challenges and pursue educational and professional goals.
