Youth Work Ireland Week 2025

Waterford & South Tipperary Community Youth Service will be taking part in Youth Work Ireland Week 2025, taking place from April 5th to April 12th! This annual celebration is a chance for us to showcase the incredible work happening in youth services across the country and highlight the vital role youth work plays in young people’s lives.

Youth Work Ireland and its members are the largest providers of quality youth work services in Ireland. Together we engage with over 76,000 young people aged 12-24 years through a range of youth work supports each week.

Every year during Youth Work Ireland Week we shine a light on an issue that young people and youth workers say are important to them. For 2025, we are focusing on our Youth Work for All campaign calling for proper funding and resources for youth services so that every young person, no matter their background or location has access to the support they need.

Right now, thousands of young people across Ireland don’t have access to the support, opportunities, and community that youth work provides. This isn’t fair—and it’s time to change it. At WSTCYS, we believe that youth work is a right, not a privilege. Through the Youth Work for All campaign, we’re calling for equal access to youth services in every community—so that every young person has the chance to learn, grow, and belong.

Throughout the week, we’ll be hearing directly from young people, youth workers, and volunteers about the impact youth work has had on their lives and communities. Expect powerful stories, creative activities, and a national push to ensure youth work gets the recognition, resources and support it deserves.
