Here for Youth

Europe Day in our YDPs!

Europe Day 2025 took place on 9th May. Celebrated annually, this day is a symbol of peace, unity and cooperation in Europe and is marked by all Member States of the European Union. In our little corner of the EU, 2 of our Youth Diversion Projects took the opportunity to organise some enjoyable EU-themed activities with young people. Our EDGE participants had EU-themed parties in their groups at Carrick-on-Suir Youth Centre – we’re loving the cupcakes and stars Our TYRE participants had a gorgeous sunny afternoon for their EU-inspired Stone Painting in Portlaw. Some lovely artwork with the European flag at the centre! Quite fitting, as our YDPs are funded through the European Social Fund +, making it possible for WSTCYS to work with over 225 young people every year across our region. Thank EU!!

These projects are co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Union
