Here for Youth

Clonmel CYP Clonmel Junction Festival

As part of Clonmel CYP’s Summer Programmes, they participated in a Workshop run by Clonmel Junction Festival. The workshop was funded by Creative Ireland and was called The 100 Dogs Project, a community engagement project with artist Tom  .

Tom Campbell is a Cork based multidisciplinary visual artist, and The 100 Dogs Project was an interactive project which involved making 100 life-sized papier-mâché dogs.

With thanks to Clonmel Junction Festival, young people from the Clonmel Community Youth Project helped to bring some of these dogs to life.

Once made, the dogs featured in this year’s festival with all the community groups and local schools being encouraged to meet to “walk” the dogs and congregate on the Civic Plaza in Clonmel on Saturday 5th July.

The young people thoroughly enjoyed participating in this creative community event.
