President Connolly’s visit to Millennium Youth Project

Last week, we were deeply honoured to welcome the President of Ireland and her husband Brian McEnery to Millennium Youth Service!

The President took the time to meet with young people, their families, local community groups, Fr Pat, agency representatives, our Board of Management, and staff members who all work together to support young people in the community. The President engaged warmly in conversation with every group, before spending meaningful time with the young people themselves, listening to their experiences, understanding what youth services mean to them, and hearing about their hopes and dreams for the future.

In a wonderful gesture, she left with a collection of beautiful handmade gifts created by them. To top it all off, she extended a special invitation for Millennium Youth Service to visit her in Áras an Uachtaráin

This visit is a powerful recognition of the vital role youth services play in our community. A huge thank you to the President and Brian McEnery for their time, care and wonderful support!
