BeEnvironMental Erasmus+ Youth Exchange to Finland

n the middle of February, 8 intrepid adventurers from WSTCYS’s BE ENVIRONMENTAL! Erasmus+ Project set off to travel to the far North of Europe – up near the Arctic circle and into the snowy wastes of central Finland! The young people met with their friends from Finland and Spain, and together they re-connected after the loooooong pandemic years. They learned about how the Finns look after their environment, met with slightly surreal survivalists, toasted marshmallows over the open fire in turf cabins, went husky-sledging and cross-country skiing, ate moose and elk pies, and fell into deep, deep snow many, many times!
You’ll find a short video of the trip here….”
