Here for Youth

EMOCEAN TRAINING COURSE, JUNE 2025

The “EmOcean” Training Course was about embarking on a shared journey between youth workers from Ireland, France, Spain and more European countries. For several days, they navigated a sea of learning together, sharing ideas, experiences, and dreams with a common purpose: to connect young people with their natural heritage and strengthen their personal and social development.

The activities took place in, on, and near the ocean, using the magic of the sea as a metaphor and source of inspiration. One of the most exciting moments was a surfing session, where participants challenged themselves, stepped out of their comfort zones, and learned, on the waves, the importance of trust and teamwork.

As they progressed, they discovered new ways to integrate ocean symbolism into their daily work, celebrating the maritime heritage that unites their communities along the Celtic Sea. The multicultural coexistence added even more depth to the experience: people from different cultures and backgrounds building bridges through collaboration and respect.

The participants returned home feeling like they had completed a transformative journey, carrying with them the strength and calm of the sea, ready to inspire young people and help them find their own paths of growth and well-being.
