International Women’s Day in Carrick-on Suir

On the 7th of March, Carrick Youth and Community Centre hosted an event to mark international women’s day 2024. This event saw the communities of Carrick on Suir, Portlaw and surrounding areas come together to highlight the valuable input made by women in these communities all year round. From their volunteerism, pioneering and involvement in the betterment of these communities, everyone at The EDGE youth diversion project, the Community Based Drugs Initiative, the EDGE family support project and the Making Connections project could not do the work they do without these women.

The Carrick Youth and Community Centre, 56 New Street, Carrick on Suir, Co. Tipperary continues to have an ‘open door’ policy where all are welcome.
