PACT Project plant trees in remembrance in the North Suburbs

Well done to the PACT project participants, who planted 49 trees as part of a memory garden in the Northern Suburbs.  The garden has been designed and lead by the young people in conjunction with Waterford City council.  The choice of trees and plants was inspired by the character of one young person’s mother, who lost her battle with cancer last year.  The 15 silver birch trees represent her long blonde hair and the concept of the garden was also inspired by her passion for gardening.  This project was only possible by the granted permission of Waterford City council and the generous donations from Comhairle na nOg and Coillte.  Waterford City Council in conjunction with Ballybeg greens have also committed to donating bedding plants to enhance the site further.  Thank you to all who made this idea a reality and may it be the beginning of more positive developments for young people connecting positively within their community.
