Safer Internet Day – 7th Febrary

Safer Internet Day (SID) is an EU wide initiative to promote a safer internet for all users, especially young people.

It is promoted in Ireland by the PDST Technology in Education and Webwise. Youth Information held an information session for Youth Workers and young people in Manor Street Youth Cafe

The session looked at keeping your Data safe, protecting your online reputation and awareness of keeping yourself safe online

Our Community Garda, Bronagh, was on hand to talk through the legal issues surrounding Cyberbulling and sharing of images without consent.
