Here for Youth

SWAY Project Fresh Film Festival

Three young people from St John’s Park were celebrating last week when they took home the coveted Audience Award at the Cork Heats of Fresh Film Festival.

Shamie McDonagh, Oran Stacey and Sean Coleman won with their entry ‘Long story Short’, which will now progress to the National Final of Fresh in Limerick at the end of March.

The film deals with the importance of friendship and was produced by the SWAY Project, and directed by theatre facilitator Liam Meagher.  The young people involved were thrilled with the audience award win and are looking forward to the National Final.

The SWAY Project co-funded by the Government of Ireland and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning 2014-2020.
