WSTCYS Strategic Launch 2025-2029

Waterford and South Tipperary Community Youth Service have officially launched their Statement of Strategy 2025 to 2029.

The statement was launched at an event at the centre on Manor Street, Waterford on Wednesday.

In her introduction, CEO Christina Fogarty said that she hopes all of those involved feel their views were captured.

“It is with excitement that we set out on this journey to build on our wonderful strengths, meeting the challenges we are facing and achieve something great with those we serve as well as for our organisation,” wrote Christina.

On Wednesday, staff, volunteers and young people gathered to celebrate the statement of strategy with cake and lots of chat.

Chairperson Dylan Roche wrote in his introduction that the report is the result of a process where as many people as possible were given a voice in the future of the service.

“This Statement of Strategy shows what our focus will be on over the next five years-our people, our places, our practice, our profile and our position.

“It very much represents not only a phase of rebuilding after the losses brought about by the pandemic and a consolidation and stabilisation of our Integrated Service Model in this aftermath, but also sets out the ways in which we want to develop as a responsive and relevant youth service going forward.

“It is with excitement that we are very much looking forward to its implementation and where it takes us,” wrote Dylan.
